Nuthatch Games

Privacy

Updated October 16, 2026

The short version: you can play without an account. We don't ask for your name or email, the games don't set cookies, and we don't show ads or sell anything about you. We count how the games are played, using a random number in your browser, so we can make them better.

Where this applies

Nuthatch Games makes Progression (progressiontrivia.com) and ChefSalad (playchefsalad.com), and runs nuthatchgames.com. This notice covers all three.

What stays on your device

Each game saves a few things in your browser so they're there next time: your stats, best scores, recent results and whether you prefer light or dark mode. This stays on your device. We can't see it.

What we count

To learn which games people enjoy and come back to, we count a handful of moments:

These are linked to a random number your browser keeps, so we can tell whether people return. It isn't connected to your name, email or anything else about who you are. Along with these moments we receive what any website does: the kind of device and browser, the page you came from, and your internet address, which is used to estimate your country or region.

We use PostHog, an analytics service based in the US, to do this counting for us. We don't record what you type, and we don't record your screen.

If your browser is set to ask websites not to track you, we don't count anything.

What we don't do

Hosting

The sites are hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps routine technical records of visits, as all web hosts do, to keep the sites running and secure.

Your choices

Children

The games are made for adults and aren't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we add accounts or anything else that changes this, we'll update this page and the date at the top before it happens.
